World Environment Day 2024

On the eve of World Environment Day 2024 (05-06-2024), the Department of Environmental Science, Department of Economics in collaboration with the College NSS Units and Landscape Development committee organized a series of activities on the theme “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience”. The celebrations were kick started by the worthy principal, Prof. Dr. Mohd Shafiq with a plantation and cleanliness drive from the college park. The celebrations further continued with an awareness cum interaction session by Dr. Mohammad Aneesul Mehmood, Head Department of Environmental Science. The activities continued throughout the day and participants showed their involvement with zeal and great enthusiasm. Walk with Nature, Composting, Energy conservation Campaign, Solid Waste Management Drive, Sanitation & Cleanliness Drive, Bird feeding Activities AntiPolyethene Rally, Seed Sowing Activity College Orchard Restoration Drive, Rainwater Harvesting were the different types of activities which were carried out on World Environment Day.
