About

The Department of Zoology offers quality undergraduate education with a focus on both core and applied areas of animal science. Our curriculum covers diverse subjects such as parasitology, taxonomy, entomology, wildlife biology, ichthyology, anatomy and physiology, immunology, animal behaviour, and applied zoology. We emphasize hands-on learning, skill development, and interdisciplinary approaches to prepare students for higher studies, research, and careers in life sciences.

To provide quality education in zoology by fostering scientific curiosity, ecological awareness, and research skills. The department aims to align with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, promoting interdisciplinary learning, skill development, and environmental responsibility.

Message from Head of the Department

Welcome to the Department of Zoology. Our department is dedicated to nurturing young minds with a strong foundation in animal sciences, blending theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience. We offer a dynamic curriculum that includes diverse subjects like parasitology, entomology, wildlife biology, ichthyology, physiology, anatomy, immunology, and more.

We take pride in our well-equipped laboratories that provide students with opportunities for experimentation, observation, and skill development. Field visits, project work, and workshops are regularly organized to enhance practical learning and connect students with real-world biological systems.
