The Department of Clinical Biochemistry at GDC Shopian was established in 2018 with a commitment to advancing the field of clinical biochemistry and fostering excellence in education and biomedical research. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to providing quality education, training, and research opportunities in the interdisciplinary field of clinical biochemistry. Our department is dedicated to nurturing a dynamic learning environment where students can delve into the intricate mechanisms of biochemical processes and their applications in clinical settings.
Led by experienced faculty members who are experts in their respective fields, we strive to provide comprehensive theoretical knowledge alongside practical hands-on experience. Furthermore, our curriculum aligns with the requirements set by the University of Kashmir and other Indian Universities for postgraduate studies in Clinical Biochemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Toxicology, Immunology, Forensic Science, Laboratory Science and other related disciplines. Thus, as part of the program, students are given both theoretical and hands-on training in all areas of Clinical Biochemistry. This comprehensive approach also ensures that graduates are equipped with the necessary skills to work as clinical biochemist consultants and independently manage a clinical biochemistry laboratory.
